Opening to Love Takes Courage

How Hypnotherapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, and Past Life Regression Can Change Your Perspective and Your Life!
We have all been hypnotized by the movies and television into believing that falling in love will solve our problems. Every Sixties bubble-gum song promises that love will make us happy and we will live happily ever after.
The truth is messier. Falling in love often makes life more complicated. Now we have to fold another person’s wants, needs, friends, and family into our own. That is where the trouble starts, and love either grows stronger or quietly dies.
Our personalities protest loudly that it is not worth the work. He is too much bother. She is too much trouble. Our inner three-year-old insists that if this were right, there would be no conflict and everything would be perfect. So we pick up our Tinker Toys, go looking for the next Mr. Right or Miss Perfect, and the cycle starts again.
The Client Who Wondered If He Could Make It Work
People come to me all the time to find their true soul mate. What I see, again and again, is couples who are together now and were also connected in other lifetimes.
One client, whom I’ll call Daniel, stood out. He came to me torn about a woman he was thinking of marrying. Handsome, successful, and athletic, Daniel was nearing forty and owned his own company. He was brilliant and extremely well educated. He had fallen in love with Julie, twenty-eight, a fitness instructor and single mother of two small children. Her children’s father was an aging, failed rocker who promised nothing but future problems. Daniel loved Julie, but he struggled with her angry six-year-old son and wondered whether he could make it work.
The Viking Who Ran from Love
When Daniel went back in time, he saw himself as a Viking named Olin, in love with a woman he recognized as Julie. She liked Olin. But when another man entered the picture, Olin would not fight for her. He let her go.
All that pent-up anger and rage had to go somewhere, so Olin joined a killing raid to vent it. He died on that raid with an axe in his chest.
The lesson hit Daniel like a hammer, and he began to cry. “I ran away from love and vented my anger elsewhere. Being angry is futile.”
The Leader Who Fought for Her
Then he saw another lifetime, one where he did fight for Julie. They were Inuit, and he saw that Julie’s daughter today, Angie, was their daughter then. He adored her. Julie’s son today, Jim, was there too, as an angry fellow tribesman, perhaps a former suitor of Julie’s.
In that life, Daniel was a leader who guided his tribe through traumatic times. When he died, Julie and Angie were at his side. He felt an overwhelming love, even with war raging just outside.
His soul lesson was to create a bubble of love while life and the outside world carry on, since there will always be trauma and challenge. You cannot stop the challenges. You can build a bubble of love around your heart, with the people you love, to insulate you from the trouble.
Daniel recognized his soul’s purpose as The Protector. It made him proud and happy.
What Happened Next
He walked out of that session, went home, and asked Julie to marry him that night. They married and now have a beautiful baby daughter. All of it happened because Daniel owned his warrior self and got brave enough to open to love.
We are all here to love unconditionally, and it is not always easy. But if you can be brave like Daniel and push through the resistance, you can create that bubble of healing love too.
